The Evergreen Animal Protective League (EAPL) was organized in April, 1981 to aid lost, abandoned, and suffering animals through rescue, shelter, and education. Since that time, the League has provided a better life for thousands of cats, dogs, and other pets.

The Humane Society of the South Platte Valley (HSSPV) is a non profit 501(c)(3) organization established to serve the communities of south Denver. Our Humane Society offers shelter, care and compassion for lost, stray and unwanted animals until they are redeemed by their families or adopted into a new home.
Our vision is to be the leading resource for dogs, cats and pet stewards in Park County and the surrounding mountain communities. At Intermountain Humane Society we save, shelter, train, educate, rehabilitate and find dogs and cats their forever homes.
Planet Pet, originally established in Denver and now located in Wheat Ridge, was created by Dr. Jeff Young of Planned Pethood Plus (PPP) in 2005. Planet Pet was established to save the many abandoned and relinquished animals that he found at his low-cost clinic’s doorstep.

Planet Pet became a refuge for these animals, giving them a loving environment before adopting them out to their new forever homes. Our rescue program is run by our passionate and dedicated staff, volunteers and foster families that work diligently giving these animals reassurance to overcome past issues of abuse, neglect or abandonment.
